Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
I respect your personal data and collect only what is needed to answer your message. This page explains in plain words what is collected, why, for how long, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
Christos Arseniou, Software Engineer
Email: chris0arseniou@gmail.com · Phone: +30 698 478 6516
2. What data is collected
Only the details you give me through the website's contact form:
- your name and email address (required),
- the topic you are interested in (optional),
- the content of your message.
If you contact me directly by email or phone, I process your email address or phone number and whatever you write or tell me.
3. Why it is used
Solely to reply to your request and discuss a possible collaboration. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by sending the form, and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
I do not use your details for marketing, I do not sell them, and I do not share them with third parties for their own purposes.
4. Where it is stored and for how long
When you submit the form, the message is delivered to me as an email through the form-delivery service Web3Forms and arrives in my mailbox. This means your email address and the other details of your message are stored in my mailbox so that I can reply to you.
I keep them for as long as needed to handle your request and any collaboration that follows, and delete them when they are no longer necessary, unless the law requires a longer retention period.
5. Cookies and technical data
The website does not use cookies or any analytics, advertising or tracking tools. It stores only your light or dark theme preference locally in your browser, when you change it; this information is never sent anywhere and you can delete it at any time from your browser settings.
The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When they load, your browser sends your IP address to Google's servers. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may temporarily log technical data such as your IP address, solely for security and operational reasons.
The site links to external services (GitHub, LinkedIn, the App Store and Google Play). When you follow those links, the privacy policies of those services apply.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and to object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before. An email to chris0arseniou@gmail.com is enough.
If you believe your rights are being violated, you can contact the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
7. Changes to this policy
If the way I handle your data changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
